    a little about..

    Old Cogan Hall Farm

    old cogan hall farm

Old Cogan Hall Farm is one of the oldest farms in Penarth. As early as 1247, documents show the transportation of cattle by drovers some 187 miles to East Grinstead, London. The farm itself would have started life as part of a Manor and at one stage in history the farm extended over 700 acres.

The present buildings date back to the 16th Century with extensive remodelling taking place in the 19th Century although now much smaller. The farm is a thriving family run enterprise specialising in pig farming with a rare breed, Gloucester Old Spot. Reared in a free range environment.

As well as the pig breeding programme, a small flock of Sheep, Beef Cattle and even Turkeys at Christmas. All our sheep and cattle are “Farm Assured”, this ensures that the welfare of the animal is of the highest standard throughout it’s life

    What are people saying?

    Real words from real customers!
    • Having picked up our half of lamb yesterday we decided to cook the leg for our Sunday roast today. I can honestly say that it was the sweetest, most tender joint of lamb that we have tasted for many a long time. The quality was superb. It was so good that we would like to order another half a lamb from you if you have any available. Thanks very much.
    • Best tasting beef we have ever had....

    • Our first ever turkey from you and by far the best we have eaten. We will certainly be ordering again from you. Thanks very much!
    • Delicious bacon purchased from @OCHF today. In particular loved the lamb cured bacon, Delicate flavour, Lean #shoplocal
